When considering joining a direct sales company, one of the first things people want to know is what do you get when you sign up? LuLaRoe provides you with an array of styles and sizes to help get you started right. Let’s take a look at the 2017 LuLaRoe Onboarding Package.
At first glance, it looks like a LOT of LuLaRoe. Like yikes. My first thought was where the heck will I put all of this amazing stuff? I am sure some of you are thinking the same. Don’t worry, I’ll get to how to store and organize your goodies too.
2017 LuLaRoe Onboarding Package Differences
As you can see above, the 2017 LuLaRoe Onboarding Package has three options you can choose from and one add-on package. The main difference between them is the number pieces and leggings. Packages #1 and #2 do not have leggings, but you can place an additional order as soon as you put in your initial order. The packages are built based on the most popular LuLaRoe items and have a balanced mix of tops, dresses, and skirts. LuLaRoe is so much more than just leggings. These packages are clear examples of that.
When you get “the call”, your onboarding specialist will walk you through your package of choice. During this process, you will also get to break down the sizes of each style. The specialist will have suggestions for you, but you may ask for a different breakdown if you prefer. I recommend carrying all sizes, XXS – 3XL. Part of what I love about LuLaRoe is that it can fit and look absolutely killer on a variety of ladies. It’s pretty disappointing to go to a store and see they don’t’ carry your size! Be the light for your future customers and think about them from the start.
Should I get more?
With the current 2017 LuLaRoe Onboarding Package, specifically #1 and #2, many future consultants wonder if it’s worth adding more. Leggings are what many people consider to be the “bread and butter” of LuLaRoe. As I stated before, we are so much more and leggings aren’t even my best seller, but for newbies to LulaRoe, they are often what brings them in.
So – should you add more? It depends! Do you have extra resources when you onboard? Great, get some leggings! I recommend starting with OS and TC before expanding to other sizes (tween and kids) as they are our most popular sizes. If you can’t don’t stress – add them when you can.
It is important to go deep before going wide. This means having 10-15 items per size in each style, especially your most popular styles before adding others. By doing so, you give your customers variety. Variety brings customers back to you as they know you have options in their preferred size.
How to Organize Your LuLaRoe
Here’s the fun part, receiving and organizing your inventory! When your 2017 LuLaRoe Onboarding Package arrives, it’s going to feel like Christmas times ten. If you live on the third floor like I do, you’re going to hope that your partner sees all the boxes stacked up outside before you get home, because carrying 5+ heavy boxes up the stairs is no walk in the park.
If you are fortunate enough to have a room or part of a room to work with, I highly recommend any of the Prince Hanger systems (side note – I am not an affiliate of any items listed here, just really love them!). I currently have roughly half of our guest bedroom and this system allowed me to free up a lot more space in my room as before I was using rolling racks.
I do not hang my leggings, yikes that would be a lot of work! Leggings are stored rolled in baskets I got at Michael’s using some of their awesome coupons. They all have handles and are easy to transport for pop-up parties.
If you do not have tons of space, don’t you worry! When I first started I used under bed storage for my skirts and leggings and a spare closet for my tops. My sponsor uses this system successfully in her one bedroom apartment. Size truly does not matter as long as you plan accordingly.
I do not have a fancy backdrop hanging up or a collection of mannequins. I use the back of the door in my LuLaRoom which is a nice wood and I use a clear hook to hang my half mannequin from.
Sometimes less is more when starting out. Remember, this is your journey. Do what is best for you and your business. It can be everything you need, everything you dream of and more.
